Destination Guide

About Angel Fire, New Mexico

The Destination

A Mountain Town Like No Other

Tucked into the Moreno Valley at 8,600 feet in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Angel Fire is one of New Mexico's most beloved four-season destinations. Just 150 miles north of Albuquerque and about 90 miles from Santa Fe, it's close enough for a long weekend but wild enough to feel like another world.

In winter, the ski resort draws families and powder enthusiasts from across the Southwest. In summer, the same mountain transforms into a world-class mountain biking destination. And through every season, the night sky is among the darkest and most spectacular in the American Southwest.
